What you get with every bind

IP allowlist

Binds only accept connections from the public IP addresses you register with us. Tell us before they change; connections from other addresses are refused.

Delivery reports

Ask for a delivery report on each message and it comes back on your bind as the status returns from the network: delivered, failed or expired.

Live bind status

The SMPP portal shows whether each of your binds is connected right now, with your balance, message reports and your price list.

Open the SMPP portal

Getting connected

  1. Contact us with your expected volumes and destination countries.
  2. Send the public IP addresses that will connect to the bind.
  3. Receive your system ID and password, and sign in to the SMPP portal.
  4. Add credit, connect and start sending.

Is SMPP right for you?

SMPP makes sense if you already run a messaging platform, an aggregator business or a system that sends steady traffic, and your software speaks the protocol. If you are building a website or an app, the HTTP API takes minutes to connect and has no firewall work.

Long messages, encodings and delivery receipts behave as the specification says. The GSM-7 and Unicode guide explains how parts are counted.

From Malawi to the region

The dashboard and HTTP API stop at the Malawi border. An SMPP bind does not have to: it can carry traffic to Malawi and to the African destinations agreed when your bind is set up. Your list of destinations and your prices are visible in the SMPP portal, together with reports, top-ups and credit history.

Planning to sell SMS to your own clients? The reseller programme runs on the same platform, with isolated clients and your own branding.

Questions

What is SMPP?

SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) is the standard protocol that messaging platforms use to exchange SMS with a gateway over a long-lived connection. It suits steady, high-volume traffic. If you send from a website or an app, the HTTP API is usually simpler.

Which SMPP version and bind types do you support?

SMPP 3.4, with transmitter, receiver and transceiver binds, on smpp.smsyanu.com port 2775. Send enquire_link about every 30 seconds to keep the session open.

Which countries can I reach over SMPP?

Malawi and the African destinations agreed for your bind. Tell us where you need to send and we will confirm what your bind can reach and at what price.

How much does an SMPP bind cost?

SMPP prices are set per bind and per destination, so ask us for a quote. The K20 per SMS part price is for the dashboard and HTTP API. Your own price list appears in the SMPP portal.

Can I resell through my bind?

Yes. The reseller programme gives you isolated clients and binds, your own prices and your own branding.
